Why detox?
We live in both the best of times and the worst of times. On the one hand we have unprecedented access to extraordinary tools for enhancing health and beauty that can add more years to our life and more life to our years, enabling us to look and feel good at any age. On the other hand, we are constantly exposed to a high amount of toxins from the air we breathe, an unhealthy diet, the clothes we wear, commercial beauty products we put all over ourselves and the water we drink, our body needs a break from time to time.
The toll all of this has taken on our physical, mental and emotional health should not be underestimated. When our bodies lack vitamins, minerals, enzymes and probiotics; all needed to function optimally, our organs become overburdened with toxins and waste products and compromise the natural system that escorts these toxins out of our bodies. Our internal organs, skin and hair are adversely affected. We age, we gain weight, we get fatigued, we lack energy. Our skin loses elasticity. We become disconnected and we lose our spark.
